AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Al-Azhar warned of Israel's intentions to set the region ablaze. Al-Azhar, in the strongest terms, condemned the brutal crimes committed by Israel in various regions of Lebanon, which have resulted in the deaths of dozens of victims and the injury of hundreds of civilians.
In a statement, Al-Azhar emphasized that these aggressions constitute a dangerous escalation and a clear violation of all international and humanitarian covenants and laws. It added, "The targeting of innocent civilians by the occupying regime demonstrates its perpetual inclination toward aggression and bloodshed, and reflects its disregard for human and moral values, and an approach based on igniting wars, spreading chaos, and disregarding the sanctity of innocent blood.
Al-Azhar warned of Israel's efforts to set the region ablaze with the aim of violating the current ceasefire and the agreement to halt hostilities, and emphasized that the absence of deterrent international and legal accountability has encouraged the occupying regime to continue its criminal behavior and commit further crimes, to the point where it has become a dangerous threat to the security and stability of the region.
Al-Azhar called on the international community to take immediate action to stop these crimes and to fulfill its legal and moral responsibilities in protecting civilians and preserving the unity, stability, and sovereignty of Lebanon over all its territories.
